Because my parents don't have any friends really, except the cats and dog, they feel the need to update me on every event of the day back at home. I get to hear about the highlights, such as when our dog Ollie puked up a piece of my dad's chewed sock. Here are some exciting texts that I have received in the last couple weeks:

THIS BLOG POST IS GREAT! XD
ReplyDeleteI lol'd.
Hahahaha I love how they write in short, incomplete sentences. My Mom LOVES to text me and she'll constantly ask things like "what is SOSSDD in text speak?" and I'll say "I have no clue because nobody uses that."
ReplyDeleteI like to text in complete sentences with grammar, capitalization and punctuation. She uses "u" and "b4" and other annoying shorthand.

You don't even want to know the things my dad texts me. Usually it's just him calling me some derogatory name because he can't communicate that he misses me in any other way.
ReplyDeleteThe best text I have received from my mom recently was "WHAT????? When dad hears "aurora borealis" he thinks of nipples???"
Texts from the Ulies is great, you should keep doing these. I love the drawings, hilarious.
